Thomas Oppong
Ps Thomas Oppong is a 72-year-old Cocoa farmer, pastor, ex assemblyman, current union president of Amansie west Union and Board Chairman of Adom Cocoa Buyers Limited. Haven had my primary and middle school education at Mpatuom Bontefufuo, he went on to obtain a Diploma in Pastoral Studies at Christian Service University College in Kumasi.
His 37 years as a pastor imparted knowledge, promote extra-curricular activities and instilled discipline among my members, currently, he serves as the vice head pastor of Miracle Revival Church.
As an elected secretary of the union in 2011 and elected president of Amansie west Union in 2014, he was instrumental in the formation of the union in the same year. he also made significant contribution towards the union becoming an SPO Fairtrade certified, construction of an Office Complex, infrastructure provision to member societies and acquisition of provisional license for Adom LBC. During his tenure, the union was Runner-up for 2018 Best Advocacy on Illegal Mining activities. He has travelled with Fairtrade to Kenya, Ethiopia and Cote D Ivoire for conferences.
