Mr. Kwame Asah Ofori was born on the 1st of Dec 1949 in Akropong Akuapim, Ghana. He is a cocoa farmer, a former chemistry tutor at Suhum SHTS, a former technical officer for Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (Physiology/ Biochemistry division), former president of Suhum Cocoa Cooperatives, former board member of Cadbury Cocoa Partnership, former chairman of Fairtrade West Africa Cocoa Consultative Committee and currently the treasurer for Fairtrade Ghana Network, Chief Farmer of Aponno Apono Cocoa Growing Area and the board member for Adom Cocoa Buyers Limited. He had his GCE O and A Level education at Accra Academy.

As a former elected president of the union, he was key in the formation of the union. I also made significant contribution towards the union becoming an SPO Fairtrade certified, infrastructure provision to member societies and acquisition of provisional license for Adom LBC.

He is married with 10 kids, and speaks and write German language.
